Stephen and I heard from a neighborhood dog walker that a Shiba needed a new home. We stopped by the pet store nearby to visit the puppy. He is a 7 month old Red Shiba Inu, microchipped, and has down the basic commands. The previous owner had to give the puppy away because the landlord felt the dog was too big. Instead of sending it to a shelter, the store wanted to take the puppy back and make sure to give it a good home. He is extremely sweet, very energetic (cuz he’s still a puppy!) and is longing for a furever home.

There is no cost for adoption. The store has all the paperwork and all that they ask is to purchase some supplies (no minimum).

Hi Twibas!

Recently, there’s been an enormous string of posts on Twitter involving extremely cute photos of us Shibas. Leave it to our pawrents to post embarrassing photos of us puking in our first car ride, struggling to escape during our first bath, etc. We had wanted a way to collectively share these pawesome photos without clicking through everyone’s link on Twitter and opening up numerous browser tabs. Mom says this is very time consuming and she ended up becoming very unproductive at work.

Let me introduce to you, ZangZing! The best part is that you do not need to join/register to upload photos. However, there is a minor stipulation… without registering for a free account, you would have to upload via email and I will show you how. It’s real simple!

Compose a new message with any one of your favorite messaging applications. I will demonstrate using our gmail account.

1. Send your email to: twibas@puppypiranha.zangzing.com
2. Put your caption in the subject line. Please remember to also put your @twitter name since there are a few Twibas with the same names. (See my example below.)
3. Add the photo as an attachment. (Important – Do not drag and drop.)
4. Hit SEND!
5. To view the album, simple go to this link: http://www.zangzing.com/puppypiranha/twibas

TIP: If you have multiple photos with different captions, you will need to send separate emails with the captions listed in the subject line.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t forget to include your @twitter name in with the caption. Photos uploaded without will be deleted. We are trying to keep this within the Twiba community. If you are not a Twiba, simply sign up for a twitter account and you can add me at @puppypiranha. There are plenty of us on there to welcome you!

BEFORE YOU JOIN ZANGZING: If you end up wanting to sign up for a free account on ZangZing, please let me know so that we can send you an invite! Every friend invited and signed up helps us get 250MB extra of storage space so that we can continue to add more photos. We are currently at 2GB max and can go up to 10GB through invites for free!

FACEBOOK TWIBAS: I also created a Facebook Group called Twibas!

I realize not everyone has a Facebook account so we’ll lose some great Twibas in the process so if you do sign up, let’s not forget about keeping updates and such on Twitter. I don’t want to deviate from the place where we all met!

Also, what do you guys think about making the Group viewable by everyone? That way at least the Non-FB Twibas can still view the photos. I currently have it set to members only for viewing posts/photos. Let me know your thoughts. Otherwise, the ZangZing options seems decent (though not perfect) but I know it is a bit of a pain to upload via email.
